When you place your order, we begin making your items as quickly as possible. Each piece requires some time for the construction and curing before we can ship. Most orders ship within 1 or 2 days. However, in peak seasons, shipment can take up to 5 business days.
When you order multiple products, the orders can come from different designers. In this case, it could happen that you will receive your products in different packages and at different times.

ORDER FULFILLMENT
We ship daily from Monday through Saturday, 52 weeks a year except for Sundays and holidays. Orders placed by12.00 PM GMT Sunday-Friday will ship the same day. Occasionally orders may not ship the ‘same-day’ due to stock issues, lacking order information or billing delays. Orders placed on Saturdays will ship the following Monday or next open business day.

GacoFlex A4271 BleedTrap Base Coat is a single-component, water-based acrylic sealer for roofing substrates that contain bitumen. Engineered to encapsulate the oil that exudes from asphalt, it traps that oil inside the sealer so it cannot bleed through to the coating above.
Because it is water-based with a VOC under 50 g/L, it applies by roller, brush or airless sprayer and cleans up with soap and water. Always carry out an adhesion test before you coat.
⚠️ IMPORTANT COVERAGE NOTICE:
Coverage is calculated per coat. Target 3.8 L per 9.3 m² per coat, so one 18.9 L pail covers approximately 46 m² per coat. Very rough or irregular surfaces need more material, and a continuous 6 mil dry film is important to block oil migration.

Ideal Applications & Substrates:
- Built-Up & Asphaltic Roofs: Built-up roofing (BUR) and smooth or granulated asphaltic membranes. Not intended for gravel-surfaced BUR.
- Modified Bitumen: All types of modified bitumen. Strongly recommended over APP and smooth built-up roofing, and required for all warrantable applications over SBS.
- Mineral Surface Cap Sheets: Included in the recommended substrates for oil bleed control.
- Other Substrates: Galvanized steel, polyurethane foam and concrete. May not suit all single-ply membranes, so always run an adhesion test.
🛠️ SUBSTRATE & PRIMING SPECIFICATIONS:
- Under GacoFlex S4200 & GacoRoof: These silicone coatings can go directly over A4271 once it has thoroughly dried. No primer is typically required, but perform an adhesion test.
- Under S2000 & S2100 Silicones: These require a coat of E5320 2-Part Epoxy Primer/Filler over A4271, dried before the silicone goes on.
- Coloured Silicones: Gaco does not warrant or recommend pigmented (non-white) silicone coatings over asphalt substrates.
Application Specifications:
- Application Methods: Roller, brush or airless sprayer (2,000-3,000 psi at the gun tip, 3.8-11.4 L per minute, tip sizes 0.635-1.016 mm). Mix until homogeneous and do not thin.
- Temperature Windows: Apply only when air, material and surface temperatures are between 10°C and 43°C. Do not coat if rain or heavy dew is expected within 4 hours.
- Surface Preparation: Surface must be clean and completely dry. Do not apply to standing water and do not pressure wash asphalt. Remove dirt and loose granules with a power broom or industrial vacuum.
