Technical data
Developed especially for hip roofs, the new DELTA®-MAXX WD high-performance sheet ensures an exact fit, greater safety, and optimum installation efficiency. The two adhesive strips integrated in the underside make the installation of the sheet noticeably easier and significantly faster than that of conventional sarking sheets. Thus, roofs will be safely covered and also optimally protected from weather influences.

A new high-performance sheet specially designed for use on hip roofs will be presented by Dörken GmbH & Co. KG of Herdecke at the DACH + HOLZ International 2016 in Stuttgart. Two adhesive strips integrated in the underside of the sheet make DELTA®-MAXX WD particularly efficient and economical to lay. Highly load and tear-resistant, this sarking sheet is rolled out from right to left and cut off obliquely along the hip. The cut-off part of the sheet is then simply turned around by 180 degrees and installed in the opposite direction. As the sheet is cut to fit precisely, fitting it around hips and valleys entails no unnecessary waste because the obliquely-cut roll may be immediately used again for further work. This approach facilitates material savings of up to 30 percent, and because the sheet can be laid out efficiently and quickly, roofs will be directly protected from weather influences.
Along ridges, the sheet may be simply folded over and glued to the sheet on the opposite side of the roof using the adhesive strip on the underside. No additional adhesive tape will be required. If the overlap along the ridge is too wide, the sheet may be cut off, with the grid embossed on the upper side ensuring that cuts can be made easily and exactly.
The sheet strip leftover may be used elsewhere – as a seam for an eaves flashing, for example.
